I enjoyed a nice mother's day last sunday starting off with banishment to my room. I was greeted downstairs to breakfast of smiley face crepes, eggs, and bacon with cards and a book from heather. It was a very nice start to the day then we headed to the duck pond to find a geocache which was nicely hidden in the green mossy rocks. With all the rain that we've had the stream was really pretty and the kids had some nice photo ops together. We headed home for a late lunch and cameron nap before heading out to a friends for dinner. Heather and a few girls posed for some pics to be used as possible stock photography--so keep your eyes out for her in magazines ;-). A friend showed us how to make pancit which Heather really liked so despite the effort it takes I will have to try to make it for her. It was a nice relaxing end to another busy day!
On Wednesday Heather's school did an art show and had an opening night with snacks and art displayed on the walls everywhere. The kids had a good time looking at their friends pictures and finding their own on the walls (We found 4 of Heather's and she said that they were only supposed to have 3!!) She was very proud of her work.
